Amber Littlejohn Joins Ice Miller Public Affairs Group
Ice Miller today announced that
Amber Littlejohn has joined the firm’s
Public Affairs Group as Of Counsel, where she will work with clients focused on the cannabis and dietary/nutritional supplement industries, among others. Littlejohn has served as a nonprofit executive, lawyer, strategist, and advocate for businesses in emerging markets for more than 15 years, providing government and business counsel to private industry, nonprofit organizations, and government officials relating to highly regulated industries.
“Amber’s understanding of the complex issues involved in the cannabis and nutritional supplements industries is a strong complement to our team’s existing experience in assisting highly regulated sectors,” said Ice Miller Public Affairs Group Chair
Lawren Mills. “She is highly-respected by her peers and will play an important role in our firm’s growth in the coming years.”
Named a Top Cannabis Lobbyist by
Business Insider, Littlejohn is a nationally-recognized voice for the cannabis industry. She has testified before Congress on issues including small business capital access and cannabis legalization, and she regularly engages with lawmakers and regulators at all levels of government. She will also advise clients on legislative, regulatory, and public engagement strategies to access and grow markets, stabilize supply chains, and reduce crisis frequency and reach.
“Amber has her finger on the pulse of some of the fastest-moving and evolving marketplaces in the country, and she will be an immediate value-add to our clients,” added
John Oberle, chair of the Firm’s
Cannabis Group. “The perspective and wealth of experience she brings to our firm will produce real-time results for businesses that need them most around the country.”
Prior to joining Ice Miller, Littlejohn was president and chief strategic officer for a public affairs firm focusing on legislative and regulatory policy development, as well as government and regulatory affairs. As the former executive director of the Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA), she served as counsel and advocate to the largest national trade association dedicated to minority cannabis businesses and communities.
“Not only does Amber understand the bigger picture where policy intersects with business and industry, she is able to leverage that insight to focus her counsel on managing risk and opportunity while driving policy on behalf of our clients in some of the most challenging, regulated spaces,” said Ice Miller Public Affairs Group Vice Co-Chair
Jarrod Loadholt.
Littlejohn will be based primarily in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and joins recent Ice Miller Public Affairs Group additions
John Pence and
Joe Heaton.
