Attorney Allyson Emley Joins Ice Miller

Ice Miller LLP welcomes Allyson Emley, an attorney in the Firm’s Litigation Practice. Allyson focuses her practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice and commercial litigation in state and federal court.

Before joining Ice Miller, Allyson was an associate with an Indianapolis-based litigation firm. In this role, she represented physicians, surgeons, physician extenders, physician groups and hospitals in defending medical malpractice claims. Allyson also represented businesses and business owners in pursuing and defending civil disputes in state and federal court.

“Allyson is a skilled attorney with considerable experience in the areas of medical malpractice and drug and device litigation,” said Steve Humke, chief managing partner of Ice Miller. “Her diverse experience in the legal health care industry is an asset to our clients. Allyson previously worked for the Indiana State Department of Health as a staff attorney. She practiced administrative and civil litigation for the Divisions of Acute Care, Long-Term Care, Environmental Public Health, HIV Medical Services and Children with Special Needs Health Care Services. Allyson served as the primary attorney for the Communicable Disease, HIV/STD and Office of Women’s Health program areas in addition to her other responsibilities.

In 2010, Allyson earned her juris doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. She graduated, cum laude, from Butler University with a major in political science and minor in Spanish in 2007.
