Attorney Maria Bazakos Joins Ice Miller

Maria Bazakos is an attorney in Ice Miller’s Real Estate Practice, where she guides clients through all aspects of real estate acquisitions and sales, from due diligence to title clearing and commercial leasing.

Maria regularly assists clients in the preparation and negotiation of various commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, leases and lease amendments. In addition, Maria advises clients regarding the acquisition, financing, leasing, management and disposition of retail, industrial, office and other commercial properties.

“Maria’s previous experience in business and commercial transactions provides new perspective and keen negotiation skills for her clients,” said Steve Humke, chief managing partner. “We are thrilled for her to join the Real Estate Group.”

Prior to joining Ice Miller, Maria also assisted clients with business and commercial transactions. She represented clients in a range of corporate matters, such as commercial lending, financing and sales and acquisitions of stock and other equity interests. Maria has experience negotiating primary and ancillary transaction documents like stock and asset purchase agreements, operating agreements and security agreements. Additionally, Maria advised commercial landlords and tenants in lease disputes and defaults, including litigation when necessary.
