Ice Miller Expands Electrical, Cybersecurity and Software Patent Experience with New Partner Safet Metjahic
New Addition Enhances Capabilities in New York Office
Ice Miller is pleased to announce the addition of
Safet Metjahic to its Intellectual Property team, expanding its already robust experience in patent law and litigation.
Safet brings more than three decades of patent experience to the Firm, including time as a supervisory patent examiner at the USPTO. His practice focuses all stages of the intellectual property business cycle, from providing tactical counseling and strategic patent advice for clients in bet-the-company matters to development, protection, management, commercialization and, when needed, enforcement or defense of intellectual property rights.
“I am excited to join a Firm with such a strong team mentality and client-service focus,” Safet said. “The depth of the Firm’s experience provides a lot of value to my practice, and I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues.”
“Safet’s practice complements the Firm’s foothold in the software and electronics industry and expands our IP capabilities on the East Coast,” said Kristine Bouaichi, managing partner. “The addition of his practice strengthens the resources available to our clients as we assist them in acquiring, protecting and defending their valuable assets worldwide.”
Safet’s arrival marks the third addition on the East Coast to the patent and licensing capabilities at Ice Miller in the past 12 months.
