Ice Miller LLP Announces New 2023 Partners and Principal

The law firm of Ice Miller LLP is pleased to announce that the following lawyers have become partners of the firm: 

Maria Bazakos guides clients through all aspects of real estate acquisitions and sales, from due diligence through title clearing and commercial leasing. She regularly assists clients in the preparation and negotiation of various commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, leases, and lease amendments. In addition, Maria advises clients regarding the acquisition, financing, leasing, management, and disposition of retail, industrial, office, and other commercial properties.

Amy Berg focuses on all aspects of intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and agriculture law, bringing to bear insight into a variety of regulatory issues, including federal and state environmental regulations. Leveraging her first-hand experience in agriculture, Amy assists clients with various intellectual property, business, regulatory, and environmental compliance issues. She counsels agribusiness companies on general business matters and issues related to intellectual property transactions, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, joint development agreements, licensing agreements, and master service agreements. Amy also has experience assisting with regulatory and environmental compliance matters involving accidental releases of contamination, property transfers, leaking underground storage tanks, cost recovery actions, environmental and other insurance coverage claims, environmental enforcement actions, and clean-ups under a wide variety of regulatory programs.

Kristina Dahmann has broad litigation experience encompassing traditional business and banking disputes, trade secret protection, white collar criminal defense, and environmental litigation. She also has provided risk management, compliance, and state and federal regulatory counseling to local banking institutions and businesses. Kristina has specific experience with federal and Ohio administrative and regulatory processes with respect to federal and state-regulated industries and regularly provides counseling to help clients navigate these industries. She also advises clients on property tax matters, including helping clients identify opportunities to reduce property tax burdens and contest a tax valuation.

Chris Kashman focuses his practice on representative financings, including single and multi-family housing projects. Additionally, Chris has served as bond counsel for governments and governmental issuers on a variety of tax-exempt state and municipal bond issues, including economic development bonds.

Elizabeth Timme focuses on estate planning, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, and other matters involving estates and trusts. Prior to this pursuing this focus, Elizabeth served as a litigator, representing businesses and individuals in a variety of disputes, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, alleged statutory violations, and other business torts. This experience has provided her with a forward-looking perspective in her estate planning work.

Ice Miller is also pleased to announce that Tim Day has been promoted to Principal.  Tim represents clients and works closely with legislators to develop and implement policy and political strategies. He has extensive state and federal experience working at the intersection of policy and politics. Tim is not licensed to practice law in any state and does not provide legal services.
