Ice Miller Partner Lacy Johnson Recipient of Golden Laurel Award

Ice Miller LLP congratulates partner Lacy Johnson on being honored by the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper with the Golden Laurel Award. The award honors minority professionals who have exhibited excellence in the field of law.
“Lacy leverages his legal intellect and kind-hearted spirit to improve Indiana’s economic landscape as a place for all types of people to live and work,” said Robert Gauss, partner and co-chair of Ice Miller’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. “Both through his career and personal life, he has helped others understand the strength of their diverse perspectives. I am proud to have Lacy as a partner, a mentor and a friend.”
“It’s very humbling to receive this award from the Indianapolis Recorder, one of the top African-American publications in the nation,” said Lacy. “Congratulations to the seven other recipients honored with the Golden Laurel, all who serve as a voice for the needs of our local community.”
The recipients of the Golden Laurel distinction were recognized on June 30 at the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council office, located at 2126 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis, 46202.
Lacy’s practice focuses on public affairs services where he serves as co-chair to the Public Affairs and Gaming group. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Lacy received his Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University. He holds a juris doctorate from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
