Ice Miller Partner Named Chair of the Columbus Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee

Albert Lin to lead legal community input on judicial nominations; first Asian-American to hold the position

Ice Miller LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Albert Lin has been named as the chair of the Columbus Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee. Lin is the first Asian-American to lead this committee.

The mission of the non-partisan Committee is to interview and provide information regarding judicial candidates to members of the Columbus Bar Association and the public. The Committee is one of the primary methods by which the Central Ohio legal community offers input on judicial candidates in Franklin County. The Committee’s ratings of judicial candidates are frequently reprinted in editorials, print and television news reports, and campaign advertisements.

"Albert is an excellent choice for chair of the Judicial Screening Committee," said James E. Davidson, deputy managing partner of Ice Miller. "He will bring a unique set of experiences and a new perspective to the Committee, which will continue to build on its foundation of serving the legal community."

Lin is the founder of the Central Ohio affiliate of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. His practice focuses on complex litigation relating to consumer financial services, securities and investments or other banking or finance matters. He also has substantial experience representing clients, both government agencies and private companies, in matters relating to commercial, regulatory or other disputes.
