Ice Miller to Offer Back-Up Care Advantage Program

Ice Miller LLP is proud to offer primary caregiver employees access to an employer-sponsored Back-Up Care Advantage Program beginning fall 2018. Ice Miller will work with Bright Horizons Family Solutions, LLC to offer this program in all Ice Miller markets.
 
Both in-center care and in-home care options will be available to all regular full- and part-time employees. In the event of an emergency or last-minute care need, back-up care options are available 24/7/365 through Bright Horizons or directly contracted network partners. Back-up care is provided for both children and adults in care centers owned and operated by Bright Horizons or other participating providers. Each eligible employee will be allocated a certain number of back-up care opportunities at a small cost-share.
 
“Ice Miller recognizes family is a non-negotiable priority and employees may miss work when last-minute or emergency care is unavailable,” said Kristine Bouaichi, Ice Miller partner and chair of Ice Miller’s Women’s Initiative Committee. “Now, employees have access to high-quality back-up care when, where and how it’s needed. There’s no unnecessary stress related to finding back-up care.”
 
All care providers operate in compliance with state licensing requirements, have passed a required background check with 5+ screening procedures and are trained in CPR, first-aid and back-up care. Care can be easily and conveniently arranged by phone, app or website. Details of this program will be implemented over the next 45 days.

This program is the latest addition to Ice Miller’s ongoing efforts to provide attorneys and staff with an inclusive, flexible and supportive workplace. Earlier this year, the Firm announced a breast milk shipping program for women travelling for work and an enhanced parental leave policy that provides Firm attorneys with 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
