Ice Miller Welcomes Attorney Benjamin Oster

Ice Miller LLP welcomes Benjamin Oster, an attorney in the Firm’s Business Group. Ben focuses his practice on transactional matters and has extensive experience working with organizations in emerging industries, technologies and sciences.

Prior to joining Ice Miller, Ben was a business associate at Cleveland Clinic Innovations within the Cleveland Clinic hospital system where he was involved in a number of ventures, including licensing of Cleveland Clinic intellectual property to biomed- and biopharma-based companies ranging in size from start-ups to well-established, large manufacturers and distributors. He also worked with several early-stage Cleveland Clinic spin-off companies.

“Ben has an expansive background in science, technology and corporate transactions,” said Steve Humke, chief managing partner for Ice Miller. “He will bring a very unique perspective to our Business Practice. We are excited for him to join the team.”

Ben earned his Master of Science in biotechnology from Georgetown University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in 2014. The year prior, he received his LL.M. from Duke University School of Law with a focus on early-stage corporate transactions. In 2012, Ben earned his juris doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in financial management from The Ohio State University in 2005.
