Ice Miller Welcomes Attorney Onica Matsika

Onica Matsika is an attorney in Ice Miller’s Business Law Practice. She represents public and private companies, startups and nonprofits across various industries on corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions, private equity and general corporate governance.

Onica advises clients on legal strategy, day-to-day operational issues and compliance with state and federal regulations. She regularly drafts, negotiates and executes acquisition, merger, employment, consulting, service, vendor and non-disclosure agreements and serves as outside general counsel. In addition, Onica has experience managing diligence teams and coordinating with special counsel on transaction matters.

Onica earned her juris doctor with honors from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While in law school, she served as managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal and Chief Justice of the Sherman Minton Advocacy Board, and she completed a judicial externship with the Hon. Ann Claire Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
