Ice Miller Welcomes Partner Michael Chabraja

Ice Miller LLP is pleased to welcome Michael Chabraja, a partner in Ice Miller’s Tax Exempt Group. Michael concentrates his practice on representing large trade associations and other nonprofit entities in a variety of risk management issues. He provides advice on matters relating to antitrust, governance, intellectual property and member disputes for nonprofit organizations, including professional societies and trade associations.
 
“Michael is an accomplished attorney who is able to assist nonprofit entities and other organizations with a wide range of issues,” said Steve Humke, chief managing partner of Ice Miller. “We are excited to have him join our Firm and assist our clients in achieving their goals.”
 
Prior to joining Ice Miller, Michael was a partner at an international law firm where he maintained a litigation practice and developed a concentration on the representation of nonprofit organizations. Michael’s litigation experience includes professional liability matters, corporate control disputes, defamation, fraud and trademark and patent infringement. In addition, Michael has considerable experience representing clients in litigation involving alleged breaches of bylaws, defamation and breach of fiduciary duties.

Michael received his juris doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law and is admitted to practice in Illinois.
