Ice Miller Welcomes Robert Emanuel to Litigation Practice

Robert Emanuel serves as senior counsel in Ice Miller’s Litigation Practice. He represents financial institutions, such as national banks, mortgage lenders and loan servicers, in class and individual actions that arise under consumer lending statutes such as the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Truth in Lending Act, as well state statutes like the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Business Practices Act.

Bob also represents lenders, handling complex commercial loan workouts, foreclosures, negotiable instrument litigation, motions for relief from stay and the defense of adversary proceedings.

“Bob has extensive experience representing clients under countless consumer lending statutes and various complex litigation matters,” said Steve Humke, chief managing partner of Ice Miller. “We are very excited for Bob to join our Litigation Practice where he is a welcome addition to the team.”

With over 20 years of legal experience, Bob has guided clients through every stage of the trial process from motions to dismiss to summary judgments to trial. He regularly handles appellate matters in state and federal court as well as before the United States Court of Appeal for the Seventh Circuit.
