Josh Christie Honored as a Samuel C. Schlosser Volunteer of the Year

Ice Miller LLP partner Josh Christie was recently recognized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as a 2021 Samuel C. Schlosser Volunteer of the Year.

Christie was recognized by the Indiana Chamber for his volunteer work during the pandemic. Over the past year and a half, he worked with the chamber to lead webinars and offer one-on-one guidance to businesses as they navigated the short- and long-term obstacles presented by the pandemic. 

A partner in Ice Miller’s Business Group, Christie works to help his clients with similar issues. He has spent his entire 15-year legal career with the firm, and focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, commercial agreements, general corporate matters and financing transactions including commercial lending transactions.

In addition to his legal practice, Christie has been on the board for IndyHub, an organization for young professionals supported by corporations and grants, for several years. He has also been involved with the Central Indiana Land Trust, Inc., the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Penrod Society.

The Indiana Chamber, formed in 1922, is the largest, broad-based business advocacy group in the state, representing businesses throughout Indiana. The organization is comprised of 25,000 members and investors who work to develop economic opportunities on behalf of Indiana residents.

On November 9, Christie and his fellow honorees, Andrea Butcher, president of HRD Advisory Group, and Edward “Skipp” Kropp, an attorney at Steptoe and Johnson PLLC, were honored at the chamber’s 32nd Annual Awards Dinner.
