Amy Ovecka is an attorney in Ice Miller’s Business Services Group, where she focuses her practice on finance, commercial contracts and general corporate matters, representing and advising clients across industries including banking, financial services, manufacturing, technology and agriculture.

Amy has represented corporate borrowers and lenders ranging from small and startup businesses to private equity funds, mezzanine debt funds and national financial institutions. Her transactional experience encompasses senior secured credit facilities, subordinated mezzanine debt facilities, refinancings, intercreditor arrangements and equity co-investments.

Amy earned her juris doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2013. During law school, she served as associate editor and later executive editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, clerked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Criminal Division for the Southern District of Ohio and served as a summer associate at a large national law firm.

In 2010, Amy graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in political science with minors in French and Spanish.

Not only is Amy licensed to practice law in the states of Ohio and New York, but she is also a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. In her spare time, Amy is an amateur gardener, a Jeopardy! enthusiast and a devoted Ohio State fan.
