Amy Ovecka is an attorney in Ice Miller’s Business Services Group, where she focuses her practice on corporate transactions, financing, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Amy has extensive transactional business experience participating in the representation of buyers, sellers and lenders. In addition to her transactional work, Amy drafts leases, management contracts, promissory notes and other general agreements as business clients may require.

Amy earned her juris doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2013. During law school, she served as associate editor and later executive editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, clerked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Criminal Division for the Southern District of Ohio and served as a summer associate at a large Columbus law firm.

In 2010, Amy graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in political science with minors in French and Spanish.

Not only is Amy licensed to practice law in the states of Ohio and New York, but she is also a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
