Austin Anderson is an associate in Ice Miller’s Employee Benefits Group. He advises both private and public employers in all aspects of the design and maintenance of health and retirement plans and other employee benefits. Austin helps large corporations, state and municipal retirement systems, and tax-exempt entities address the impact of regulatory and legislative changes. He assists with administrative compliance, health and welfare plans, qualified plans, executive compensation, benefits maintenance through mergers and acquisitions, and employer responsibilities under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. 

He also provides advice to plan committees, trustees, and employers regarding their fiduciary obligations under ERISA and helps employers develop a benefit plan governance structure that simplifies administration and mitigates potential fiduciary exposure.

Austin is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois and Indiana.
