Casey Wright is an associate in Ice Miller’s Intellectual Property Group.

Before joining Ice Miller, Casey worked as an intellectual property law clerk at an Indianapolis law firm. As a law clerk, he analyzed correspondence from the Patent and Trademark Office, drafted replies to Office Actions and claims for new patent filings and performed infringement analyses.

Casey also served as title and litigation manager for a title law firm in Indianapolis. In this role, Casey resolved pending litigation and title issues by working with client legal departments, client representatives and outside legal counsel from all 50 states. Additionally, he ensured compliance standards were met and developed new policies and procedures.

Previously, Casey worked as a senior legal analyst in the foreclosure department of a mortgage servicing company. He collaborated with local counsel and business units on contested foreclosure cases, reviewed pleadings and business records and worked with in-house and outside legal counsel to provide recommendations for case resolution and litigation alternatives.

Casey earned his juris doctor, cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2018. During law school, he served as president of the Intellectual Property Students Association and was selected to the Dean’s Tutorial Society.

Casey received his Bachelor of Arts in biology with a minor in chemistry from Wabash College in 2012. During undergrad, he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, vice president of the Biology Society and president of the Ultimate Disc Club.
