Charles Miller is an associate in Ice Miller’s Municipal Finance Group where he serves an associate role as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel for 501(c)(3) organizations, such as charter schools, universities, hospitals, senior living communities, nursing homes and long-term care facilities. 
 
Charles received his juris doctor and Master of Business Administration through the joint degree program at Washington University School of Law and Olin Business School in 2017. While earning his J.D. and MBA, Charles gained significant legal and business experience through a variety of positions. He completed an externship with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Division of Enforcement, in New York where he drafted and responded to requests for admissions, investigated market manipulation cases and drafted motion papers for default judgment. He also worked as a mediator for the Better Business Bureau and interned at a law firm in St. Louis. In addition, he expanded his business knowledge working as a practicum consultant, assisting with market research and creating strategies to increase sales for The Health Care Handbook. 
 
Prior to attending law and graduate school, Charles worked as a research associate in Washington D.C. for almost three years. He researched transactions to complete sales and lease comparable reports, trained new associates and composed news stories about significant transactions in assigned markets.
 
In his free time, Charles enjoys traveling, competing in races, watching baseball and playing golf.
