George Hornedo is an attorney in Ice Miller’s Public Affairs Group.

Prior to joining Ice Miller, George served as a consultant for the Obama Foundation where he developed an outreach and engagement plan to get mayors to sign on to the Reimagining Policing Pledge. He coordinated with partner organizations to create and market technical assistance opportunities and collected stories of progress to be featured in a final report online.

During the 2020 election cycle, George worked during the primary as National Deputy Political Director and National Delegate Director at Pete for America. In these roles, he managed outreach to superdelegates, state legislators, city council members and county chairs, as well as led the ballot access operation to ensure Pete Buttigieg qualified for the ballot in all 57 states and jurisdictions. Later in the cycle, George joined the Democratic coordinated campaign as a Regional Voter Protection Director for Texas.

In addition, George previously served as Senior Policy Advisor at Let America Vote, on the Outreach and Engagement team for the pre-elect Clinton-Kaine Transition Project and on the delegates team at Hillary for America. George started his career as a political appointee in the Obama-Biden Administration, where he served as a communications aide at the U.S. Department of Justice.

While in law school, George served as a member of the Federal Communications Law Journal.

George is a two-time National Spelling Bee finalist (2004, 2005) and appeared in the feature film Akeelah and the Bee as “Roman.”

George is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana.
