Greg Wolf, a paralegal in the Employee Benefits Group, primarily works with the employee benefit programs of public sector clients, including retirement systems, school corporations and universities. Greg works closely with the Employee Benefits Group as they design and implement retirement plans, draft legislation, update plan documents and prepare regulations and procedures to comply with federal laws and regulations.
Greg focuses on qualified retirement plans, 403(b) plans and 457 plans. He has experience assisting with the preparation of IRS filings for qualification determinations for governmental plans, as well as private letter ruling requests. Greg also works with the Employee Benefits Group to assist government clients in correcting errors using the IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System.
The Employee Benefits Group actively monitors new guidance and instructions from the IRS. Greg assists the Group in analyzing and implementing this guidance. He assists in the preparation of the Ice Miller “Regulatory Update for Governmental Plans.”
He joined Ice Miller in December 1997. From 1994-1997, he worked in Indiana local government handling tax assessments with regard to business and personal property. He has worked with governmental plans since that time.
He is originally from Fort Wayne, Ind., and received his Bachelor of Science in legal administration from Ball State University in 1992. He received his juris doctor from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in 2004.
