Hakeemat Ijaiya is a paralegal in Ice Miller’s Business Group, having most recently served as a legal extern in Marion Superior Court, Commercial Division, under the supervision of Judge Heather Welch. As an extern, she drafted and reviewed orders on motions and pleadings, as well as conducted legal research on commercial law, risk, and regulatory compliance issues.

She also served as a Corporate Immigration Intern for Indiana Legal Services, where she assisted paralegals with preparation of immigration cases. 

Hakeemat previously served as a junior associate attorney for a full-service firm in Nigeria, drafting and reviewing contracts and other related documents, and conducting legal research and analysis on various related issues. 

A Master of Law graduate of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Hakeemat received her undergraduate degree from the University of Ilorin (Nigeria) and a law degree from The Nigerian Law School.
