Ida Hyvarinen is an associate in Ice Miller’s Real Estate Practice Group.

Ida gained valuable experience as a legal intern for the Migrant and Immigrant Community Action Project in St. Louis, MO. In this role, she drafted asylum letters, motions, DACA renewal forms and government forms such as I-30, I-485 and I-765. In addition, she participated in client intake interviews and meetings and conducted research for current asylum cases. Ida also served as a legal intern for the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office in Atlanta, GA where she researched legal issues, drafted motions for discovery, reviewed warrants and affidavits to determine probable cause. She also assisted with preparation for preliminary hearings, arraignments, pre-trial proceedings and plea negotiations.

While in law school, Ida was a staff editor for the Washington University Law Review. In addition, she was the social chair for the Women’s Law Caucus and secretary of the Health Law Society in the 2018-2019 academic year. While in law school, Ida studied abroad at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

Outside the office, Ida enjoys painting and travel.
