Jessie focuses her practice on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and related business transactions, with a focus on lending and commercial finance transactions, across both the private and public sectors.
Jessie represents developers, corporate real estate departments, municipalities, tenants, and landlords in matters relating to development projects, diligence review, drafting and negotiating of lease documents, and drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and transfer documents. Jessie prides herself on being organized and attentive to clients and enjoys any opportunity to streamline a process.
Jessie has closed numerous CMBS, agency debt, and conventional commercial loans for lenders and borrowers related to real estate, equipment and machinery. Prior to joining Ice Miller, Jessie focused her practice predominantly on representing institutional CMBS and balance sheet lenders and has enjoyed continuing her lending practice at the firm and using that experience to also benefit her current borrower clients.
In addition to her real estate and lending practice, Jessie is committed to community service and has worked with the Kentucky Equal Justice Center, Mothers Esquire, and Legal Aid. Before law school, Jessie spent two years teaching English language arts in Hawaii as an instructor for Teach for America. During law school, she served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Animal and Environmental Law and continues to enjoy legal writing and research in her current practice.
Jessie is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Kentucky
