
Kay Pashos practices in the area of energy and utilities law, advising and representing energy and utility companies before state and federal regulatory agencies in a variety of cases.
Kay has worked in the energy utility industry for over 20 years. Kay has represented energy utility companies before federal and state public utility commissions in a variety of proceedings, such as rate cases, innovative rate design cases, fuel and purchased power proceedings, CPCN cases, environmental compliance cases, prudence cases, smart grid, energy efficiency and demand response matters, mergers and acquisitions, and RTO issues.
Kay's resume includes serving as both an in-house lawyer (for Cinergy, PSI Energy, and Alliant Energy) and an outside lawyer, including serving as General Counsel for Cinergy's Regulated Businesses, and serving as Deputy General Counsel for Alliant Energy. Kay has also served in several executive positions with Cinergy, Duke Energy, and Alliant Energy, notably: president of PSI Energy; vice president of Regulatory Strategy for Duke Energy; and vice president of Regulatory Affairs for Alliant Energy.
Kay Pashos focuses on providing cost-effective legal services to energy and utility companies. She strives to assist clients in obtaining constructive regulatory outcomes in the regulated energy and utility arena. At the same time, she aspires to develop and promote regulatory strategies that align the interests of both utility customers and utility investors whenever possible.
