LaShawn Oxendine is an associate in Ice Miller’s Tax Practice. She focuses her practice on transactional tax and has experience in transactions dealing with federal, state and local income and non-income tax issues.

Prior to joining Ice Miller, LaShawn was a tax associate at a multinational professional services firm in New York.

In 2014, LaShawn earned her Master of Laws in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. She served as a law clerk for the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Chief Counsel in the Division of Passthroughs and Special Industries, where she drafted field service advice memoranda and reviewed comments in preparation for hearings on proposed treasury regulations.

LaShawn earned her juris doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2013. During law school, she served as a law clerk for two Atlanta-based law firms.

She graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2010.

LaShawn is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Maryland.
