Lauren Baldwin is an associate in Ice Miller’s Environmental, Insurance and Utilities Group where she represents businesses, municipalities and utilities in all aspects of litigation and risk management, regulatory compliance, air and water permitting, real estate transactions and insurance coverage.
Lauren’s practice includes environmental litigation involving cleanup and cost recovery actions before Indiana and federal courts. She also has experience advising clients on Clean Air Act compliance and complex wastewater, stormwater and solid and hazardous regulations. Before joining Ice Miller, Lauren worked at a law firm representing large industrial clients and other businesses in all areas of environmental law and helped clients find cost-effective solutions to compliance, permitting and enforcement issues.
While in law school, Lauren served as a law clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency – Environmental Appeals Board in Washington, D.C.; U.S. Environmental Protection Agency – Region V in Chicago; and the U.S. Green Building Council. At Notre Dame, she also was a senior articles editor for the Journal of Legislation, a member of the Environmental Law Society and an Honor Council Representative.
