Maddie Augustus is a member of Ice Miller’s Public Affairs Group. As a registered lobbyist, she focuses on state legislative and executive branch lobbying on behalf of clients. She works with the firm’s public affairs clients to develop and implement their public policy strategies and works on state and federal government procurement and public and government relations issue management. 

Prior to joining Ice Miller, Maddie was the Director of Government Relations for the Insurance Institute of Indiana, where she managed the legislative responsibilities for the Indiana Association of Health Plans, on behalf of the interests of health insurance companies, pharmacy benefit managers and Medicaid managed care entities before the Indiana General Assembly. She also developed relationships with key healthcare sector stakeholders and various state agencies.

She began her career as a legislative assistant for the Indiana House of Representatives, where she served as the direct liaison with legislative, policy and agency staff on constituent matters for three legislators and staffed the House Environmental Affairs Committee.
