Michael Pisano is a senior associate in Ice Miller’s Litigation Group. He concentrates his practice in construction law and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing owners, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors and sureties in construction and real estate matters including negotiating construction agreements and litigating complex construction disputes concerning mechanics liens, bonds, land use, defective construction, delays, changes, and personal injuries. His practice also includes representing clients in business disputes including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and post-closing indemnity disputes. Michael has tried numerous cases and has argued before the Illinois Appellate Court. He enjoys and welcomes cases that present difficult and novel legal issues.
Michael is an elected officer of the Justinian Society of Lawyers, currently serving as First Vice President. Michael has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2014 – 2022, and was named to The Best Lawyers in America®: Ones to Watch list for 2023.
Michael received his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School in 2011 where he was a member of The John Marshall Law Review and recipient of numerous merit scholarships.
