Samantha Lofton Moss serves as Ice Miller’s Chief Risk, Information Governance and Legal Project Management Officer, spearheading executive project management for legal operations and the legal project management office. Samantha’s focus is on managing legal practice operations and improving efficiency, which impacts the Firm's ability to best service clients. Samantha works closely with the legal project management and pricing teams using Legal Project Management and Lean Six Sigma principles to focus on client value, reducing waste, alignment of objectives, workflow and talent.Samantha partners with client, attorney and operations teams to assess and understand the voice of the client, drive efficiencies and use technology to improve service. Samantha also spearheads strategic management of risk and information governance efforts and relevant staff. She oversees information asset issues relating to risk management: compliance/privacy/IT security; practice support; litigation support/electronic data discovery; knowledge/library services; records/information management; retention; docketing; new business intake/conflicts; imaging and electronically stored information initiatives and best practices.

Samantha has over 25 years of experience in operations and data management. Prior to joining Ice Miller, she held the office of firm-wide records information and compliance manager for Greenebaum Doll and McDonald, a large law firm based in Louisville, Kentucky. While there, she implemented a firm-wide records and information management program and lent her knowledge on records and information management to clients on an as-needed basis and served as a key member of the following teams: Enterprise Records and Information Management; Technology; Electronic Discovery Law and Information Management; HITECH Compliance; and Knowledge Management.

Before joining Greenebaum, Samantha was a records management lead for ClinTrials Research Inc., a clinical research organization based in Durham, North Carolina.
