Scott Surovjak is an associate in Ice Miller’s Real Estate Group where he assists clients in all areas of commercial real estate, including acquisitions and dispositions, finance, development, leasing, land use and zoning, entity structuring and joint ventures.

Originally from Port Clinton, Ohio, Scott received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 2008 and his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2016. While in law school, Scott interned at a major retailer, the Supreme Court of Ohio, and the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. He was also an active member of the Ohio State Law Journal, which published his note on Lake Erie water quality in 2016. Scott was chosen by his peers as the inaugural recipient of the Christopher M. Fairman Award, which recognizes a student’s acceptance of individual differences and support of free expression as essential parts of a strong and inclusive community.

Prior to attending law school, Scott worked in state and federal campaign politics, as well as in Ohio state government.

Scott joined Ice Miller in 2017 and is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio.
