Tanner Watson is a fall associate at Ice Miller.

Prior to joining the Firm, Tanner worked as a summer associate for another Indianapolis law firm, researching and drafting legal memoranda on topics such as adverse possession, mechanic’s liens, labor and employment law, auto dealership agreements and environmental law.
 
Tanner earned his juris doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. During law school, he served on the executive boards of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies and the Sherman Minton Moot Court Advocacy Board. Tanner earned the Outstanding Associate Award for his work on the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies in spring 2020. He also received brief writing honors in the 2019 Sherman Minton Moot Court competition. 
 
Before beginning his legal career, Tanner worked his way up from a sales training associate to a regional sales manager at a Kentucky-based wire and cable manufacturing company. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in rhetoric from Wabash College in 2015.
 
During his undergraduate studies, Tanner was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the honor society for rhetoric majors. Tanner also served on the executive board of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity as a risk manager and fraternity educator. Additionally, he lettered four years on the college baseball team and served as captain his senior year.

In his spare time Tanner enjoys spending time with his family, watching his beloved Indiana Hoosiers and playing golf.
