William (Bill) Ellsworth is a partner in Ice Miller’s Trusts, Estates and Private Wealth Group. He advises clients on a wide range of sophisticated trust and estate planning matters, including succession planning, charitable giving, trust and estate administration and taxes. He works with individuals, families and business owners to provide personalized legal advice designed to address the specific needs and objectives of clients and their families. 
Bill frequently helps family businesses prepare for the future and the next generation. This includes assistance finding lost or hidden assets and discovering solutions to help achieve goals.
Prior to working at Ice Miller, Bill was a principal at a well-established law firm in Chicago where he aided clients with estate planning and business and tax matters. His practice was centered on helping clients achieve goals through a holistic legal approach.
In 2007, Bill graduated from DePaul University College of Law, cum laude, with a certificate in taxation. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Florida.
Bill is also a Certified Financial Planner™.
Bill is a husband and father of three boys. Bill enjoys running and swimming and previously competed in the Collegiate Ironman World Championship. He still enjoys both sports, but in shorter distances.
