Yankun Guo is a partner in the Business Group.
Prior to joining Ice Miller, Yankun was a partner at a corporate restructuring boutique law firm. There, she advised on corporate and securities law, primarily with application to cryptocurrency, emerging technologies, fund formation, venture capital financing and corporate compliance. She also drafted and negotiated commercial agreements, SaaS agreements, services agreements, license agreements and other documents for public company legal teams.
Previously, Yankun operated her own law office as a principal attorney, providing legal services for fintech clients and advising emerging technology businesses involved in distributed ledger technologies (DLT) and blockchain. Additionally, she served as regulatory counsel for one of the fastest growing fintech firms in Chicago and was responsible for all the firm’s state and federal regulatory matters.
After earning her juris doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, Yankun spent several years company-side in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group’s Transactions, Commercial Relations Group and Corporate Compliance team.
Yankun earned Bachelor of Science degrees in actuarial science and philosophy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is fluent in written Mandarin Chinese and is proficient in reading.
