Zach Snyder is an associate in Ice Miller’s Business Group. Zach participates in all stages of strategic and private equity transactions for various mergers and acquisitions, including statutory mergers as well as stock and asset purchase agreements. He also has experience counseling clients on corporate governance, securities and antitrust matters as well as arbitrating and litigating cases involving breaches of contract, shareholder disputes and fraud actions. Zach’s litigation experience has given him insight into the pitfalls and consequences of litigation and how to structure transactions and entity governance documents to best avoid it.
Before joining Ice Miller, Zach was a corporate and business litigation attorney for Chicago law firm, where he worked on various M&A transactions; counseled clients and prepared filings pursuant to federal and blue-sky securities laws as well as federal antitrust laws; and litigated multiple fraud claims, shareholder disputes and other commercial legal actions.
Before being admitted to the Illinois bar, Zach served as an extern for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He received his juris doctor, cum laude, from Chicago Kent College of Law. While in law school, he participated in the Dean’s Honors Scholar Program and conducted legal research for Professor William Birdthistle. Zach attended Butler University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a German minor.
