Charles Northrop oversees the daily operations and strategic initiatives of Ice Miller’s Real Estate, Environmental and Energy Law (REEL) Practice Group. In this role, he manages the business and operational aspects of the practice group in an effort to support the financial performance, talent development, and strategic objectives of the firm.
He is also responsible for keeping abreast of real estate industry trends and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships.
Prior to joining Ice Miller, Charles was the head of real estate for one of the largest primary care providers in the U.S., operating more than 700 advanced primary care clinics from coast to coast. He led the team responsible for nationwide clinic development, design and construction, lease administration, and facilities management. Charles previously served in Real Estate Administration at Indiana University where he oversaw IU’s commercial real estate portfolio as well as global lease administration and transaction management. He began his career at the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana where he handled real estate acquisitions, including utility pipeline easements, for Fort Wayne City Utilities.
