Dr. Ian Hahus is an associate in Ice Miller’s Real Estate Group, where he concentrates his practice on environmental compliance and litigation.
Prior to joining Ice Miller, Ian served as a water resources engineer for a civil engineering firm in Indianapolis, where he assisted public and private clients with the design and permitting of dams, levees, and other water infrastructure projects. He also developed GIS-based tools that inform the stream and floodplain management decisions of conservation organizations.
Ian received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Purdue University in 2014. He then went on to earn his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Florida in 2018, focusing on wetlands modeling and management in the northern Florida Everglades. In 2025, Ian earned his juris doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.
