As Of Counsel in Ice Miller’s Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) Group, Jennifer Schuster focuses her practice on utility regulatory law, counseling investor-owned, municipal, and local utilities—including electric, gas, water, and wastewater providers—on compliance, regulatory approvals, and other proceedings before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and other agencies.

Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer served as a senior administrative law judge (ALJ) at the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC), where she presided over a variety of case types, including rate cases, periodic trackers, transmission, distribution, and storage system improvement charge (TDSIC) cases, fuel and purchased power proceedings, certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN) cases, complaints, investigations, declination of jurisdiction cases, energy efficiency and demand response matters, service territory cases, utility mergers and acquisitions, lead service line replacement cases, and cybersecurity-related matters. She also served as president of the Indiana Association of Administrative Law Judges (InAALJ) from 2021 to 2022.
