Patent Agent

Drawing on her interdisciplinary background in pharmacology, neuroscience, and molecular biology, Julia Ferrante conducts due diligence, patentability, and freedom-to-operate analyses. She also prepares and prosecutes domestic and international patent applications.

Julia brings a scientific perspective to intellectual property matters involving life sciences and emerging therapeutic technologies. Her doctoral research identified novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of acute opioid withdrawal in infants and characterized the neurobiological alterations induced by neonatal opioid exposure. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented her research to scientific audiences at both local and international conferences.

Julia is licensed to practice patent law exclusively before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and represents both foreign and domestic clients before the USPTO in the area of patent prosecution. Julia is not licensed to practice before state and federal court.
