Associate

Katharine Sexton is an associate in Ice Miller's Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) Group, where she focuses on affordable housing and tax credit transactions. She works closely with the firm's tax credit team on low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) matters, supporting the structuring and execution of transactions involving tax credit equity, layered financing, and federal housing programs.

Katharine assists in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents in connection with multifamily affordable housing developments, and supports deal teams on matters involving developers, investors, and public agencies. Her work also includes legal research, regulatory analysis, and documentation related to housing finance and public-sector engagements.

Katharine served as a summer associate at Ice Miller in 2024. She earned her juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
