Kole M. Brinegar

Kole Brinegar is an associate in Ice Miller’s Business Services Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, general corporate matters, corporate and partnership tax matters, and securities regulation. Kole assists publicly traded and privately held clients in an array of transactional and governance matters. Kole has experience leading many lower-middle market transactions and larger transactions of more than a billion dollars in value.

While in law school, Kole clerked for both Justice Steven H. David of the Supreme Court of Indiana and Judge Martha Blood Wentworth of the Indiana Tax Court. Kole was a summer associate at Ice Miller in 2019 and worked as a law clerk in Ice Miller’s Tax Group, where he gained experience in federal, state and local tax issues.

Kole earned his JD from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, cum laude. Kole also earned an M.B.A. at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business during his time in law school, with a concentration in corporate finance. As an undergraduate student at DePauw, Kole played men’s varsity basketball and was a member of the DePauw University Management Fellows economics and business honors program.

In his free time, Kole and his wife Emily enjoy traveling, exercising, hiking, and spoiling their dogs Maverick, Goose, and Henry.
