She was honored at the OWAHN In Bloom annual celebration and awards ceremony on June 4, 2026, at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium.

About Catherine Strauss

Catherine is the Office Managing Partner of Ice Miller’s Columbus office and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. A partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment (Workplace Solutions) practice, she is a trusted adviser and advocate for employers with national workforces, known for her practical, steady counsel and tenacious representation in disputes.

Catherine has been a longtime mentor for OWAHN’s Affordable Housing Emerging Leaders Program. She volunteered to become a mentor two years ago and when the program evolved into a full cohort at the beginning of the year, she was the first to sign up and take on several emerging leaders.

About the Award

The Mentor of the Year award recognizes an outstanding mentor in OWAHN’s Affordable Housing Emerging Leaders Program. The program focuses on allowing emerging leaders in Ohio’s affordable housing industry learn more about the industry and receive mentorship from key female leaders. This year’s 30 cohort graduates participated in philanthropic events, site tours of affordable housing communities, and office visits to foster professional development and networking opportunities.
