Freedom Smith Elected as an American College of Environmental Lawyers Fellow

Ice Miller partner Freedom Smith has been elected as a fellow to the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL), a professional association of distinguished lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law. ACOEL Fellows are chosen for their distinguished experience, high standards of practice, and substantial contributions to the field of environmental law. Membership to the organization is by invitation and members are recognized by their peers as preeminent in their field. 

As a partner in Ice Miller’s Environmental Group, Freedom focuses her practice on assisting clients with risk management activities, as well as representing clients in complex corporate litigation matters, including products liability, environmental liability, asbestos and toxic tort litigation, insurance defense, and general commercial litigation in state and federal court.  

ACOEL members are dedicated to maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law through rigorous focus, outreach and education in all forums — federal, state, municipal, tribal and international.
