Ice Miller congratulates Catherine Strauss on her appointment as chair of the YMCA of Central Ohio's Board of Trustees. As chair, Cathy will be responsible for leading the board in its mission to serve the community and advocate for the YMCA's mission. This includes providing leadership for strategic planning, ensuring proper management of the organization's finances, and general governance of the board. 

Cathy is office managing partner in Ice Miller’s Columbus office and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors, where she is a dynamic leader with broad experience in labor and employment law. She is a counselor and advocate for employers with workforces in Ohio and across the United States, having specific experience with federal and Ohio administrative and regulatory processes.  

A member of the board of trustees since 2017, Cathy has served in various capacities with the YMCA board, including vice-chair, and as a part of the Executive Committee & Development Committee. A long-time community supporter, she is also a board member of several altruistic endeavors both in Columbus and nationally, such as the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, and the Urban Libraries Council.
