Melissa Proffitt Named Chair of Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

Ice Miller partner Melissa Proffitt has been named the new chair of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Her appointment was confirmed during the Chamber’s annual fall board meeting.

Proffitt is an ardent community advocate and Ice Miller’s Partner-in-Charge of Client Relations. She currently oversees the Food & Agribusiness Group and Energy Group and was Chair of the Employee Benefits Group for more than a decade. Proffitt was also selected as the 2024 Michael A. Carroll Award recipient for her efforts as an exemplary community leader.

A long-time supporter and board member of the Chamber, Proffitt has served as outside general counsel, vice chair of the Board, and has been a part of the organization’s executive committee, nominating committee, PAC committee, economic development policy committee, and Congressional Affairs policy committee.   

Founded in 1922, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce is the largest, broad-based business advocacy group in the state, representing businesses of all types and sizes throughout Indiana.
