Christopher Bordoni is a partner in the Firm’s Business Group and is based in New York. Chris primarily focuses his practice on advising institutional lenders, private credit funds, sponsors and corporate borrowers on a wide range of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, leveraged recapitalizations, liquidity lines, equipment leases, and other debt financings throughout the capital structure. Chris has extensive experience representing small business investment companies (SBICs) in connection with debt and equity related financings.

Chris also routinely counsels clients on complex intercreditor arrangements, agreements among lenders (AALs), forbearance arrangements and out-of-court restructurings.
 
Clients appreciate Chris’ deal driven approach, focusing on current market terms to achieve the best and most efficient results.

Prior to joining Ice Miller, Chris practiced in the business and finance groups of AmLaw 200 firms in New York.

  • Represented an international bank in connection with its first out debt investments in various sponsor backed companies ranging from $10 million to $40 million.
  • Represented, a  private equity firm in connection with its acquisition financing of an Anaheim, California-based manufacturer of specialized aerospace and defense equipment.
  • Represented in connection with its acquisition financing of an information technology, consulting and recruiting company.
  • Represented an international capital provider in connection with its $295 million mezzanine acquisition financing of a thrift store chain.
  • Represented an international capital provider in connection with its $195 million mezzanine acquisition financing of a polyethylene storage tank manufacturer.
  • Represented an alternative investment manager in connection with a $25 million equipment lease.
  • Represented business development companies in connection with debt and equity investments across various industries ranging from $10 million to $50 million.
  • Represented various mezzanine funds in connection with mezzanine financings ranging from $10 million to $50 million.
