Kole Brinegar is an associate in Ice Miller’s Business Services Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, general corporate matters, and corporate and partnership tax matters. 

While in law school, Kole completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Justice Steven H. David of the Supreme Court of Indiana and served as a summer law clerk for the Honorable Judge Martha Blood Wentworth of the Indiana Tax Court. Kole was a summer associate at Ice Miller in 2019. He also worked as a law clerk in Ice Miller’s Tax Group, where he gained experience in federal, state and local tax issues.

Kole earned his juris doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, cum laude. During law school, Kole was a note development editor and note candidate for the Indiana Law Review. The Indiana Law Review awarded Kole the Papke Prize for the best student note in Volume 53. He was also a member of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Business Law Society and the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society. Kole completed his M.B.A. at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business during his time in law school.

As an undergraduate student, Kole played men’s varsity basketball and served as president of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He also was a member of the DePauw University Management Fellows economics and business honors program.

In his free time, Kole enjoys travelling with his family, exercising and hiking with his dogs Maverick and Goose.
