Phillip L. Bayt

After serving in many roles at Ice Miller, including several years as Chief Managing Partner and as Chair of the Real Estate Group, Phil Bayt now serves as Senior Counsel in the Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) practice advising clients and colleagues on major commercial development projects, including deal structuring, negotiating debt and equity, and seeking governmental support for key projects that align with the public policy goals of local and state governments.

Phil has counseled both for-profit and not-for-profit clients in numerous significant commercial transactions over the years, including the development, sale or refinancing of major hotels, office buildings, gaming projects, sports facilities and retail centers.

He has written and spoken over many years at Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum seminars on a variety of topics, including development, finance and other sophisticated real estate issues.
