Ryan Metzing

After nearly two decades behind a desk grinding in six-minute increments, Ryan Metzing ditched the billable hour and now works in a client-facing business development role for Ice Miller.

With a background in both law and business (and a decent sense of humor), Ryan works directly with middle market companies, private investors, deal sponsors, and public sector entities to identify new engagements for Ice Miller and its team of more than 350 lawyers. He believes great relationships, honest conversations, and the occasional bad golf swing are at the heart of doing business–and also unlikely to be replaced by AI!

Ryan holds an undergraduate degree from Miami University (Ohio) and graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
