Erica S. Williams

Erica Williams is Of Counsel in Ice Miller's Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) practice group, where she represents developers, buyers, sellers, REITs, landlords, and tenants across the full spectrum of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, development and redevelopment projects, and leasing — with a particular emphasis on retail. Her retail leasing experience spans shopping centers, mixed-use developments, and retail tenant representation, and she also handles leasing matters involving office, industrial, and warehouse properties.
 
With over 20 years of experience, Erica brings a client-side perspective to every deal, having previously served as in-house real estate counsel for Simon Property Group and Finish Line — experience that gave her firsthand exposure to retail real estate from both the landlord and tenant sides. This in-house background informs her practical, business-minded approach to legal risk, allowing her to deliver tailored, cost-effective advice rather than a one-size-fits-all strategy. She works collaboratively with business teams to keep deals moving efficiently toward closing.
 
Erica is active in the commercial real estate community, serving as a member of the Mixed Use Council of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the Commercial Real Estate Executive Women of Indianapolis, and holds memberships with both the Indiana State Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association.
