Four Ice Miller Partners Recognized as 2025 IP STARS

Holiday Banta, Troy J. Cole, Lesley McCall Grossberg, and Jacqueline M. Lesser have been named 2025 IP STARS after an extensive peer-review evaluation managed by the publication Managing IP. Managing IP’s evaluation process assesses and ranks law firms and practitioners around the world across different IP practice areas. Grossberg and Lesser were recognized as Trademark stars for 2025, both nationally and in Pennsylvania. Banta and Cole were recognized as Patent stars for 2025, both nationally and in Indiana.

IP STARS is the leading guide for companies and individuals looking for experienced legal practitioners to deal with contentious and non-contentious intellectual property issues. The awards are based on information obtained from various sources, including submissions from law firms and companies, market feedback surveys, and publicly available information. The Managing IP / IP STARS research, rankings, and analyses provide independent and impartial accreditation across 151 jurisdictions, covering 1,880 firms and 7,100 practitioners.

Banta is a partner in Ice Miller’s Intellectual Property Group. She is a registered patent attorney and concentrates her practice in the areas of intellectual property litigation in federal and administrative courts in the U.S. and around the world, dispute negotiations, U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution and intellectual property licensing.

Cole is a partner in Ice Miller’s Intellectual Property Group. He is a registered patent attorney with a broad-based intellectual property practice. He assists clients with obtaining protection for their intellectual property by securing patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as intellectual property licensing, enforcement, and defense.

Grossberg leads Ice Miller’s Intellectual Property practice group and is an experienced intellectual property litigator, representing clients in patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and unfair competition matters in federal district and appellate courts, as well as in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission. She manages, prosecutes, and enforces global trademark portfolios advises clients with respect to trademark clearance, selection, and prosecution.

Lesser is a partner in Ice Miller’s Intellectual Property Group and the leader of the firm’s Advertising Group. Jackie has more than three decades of experience as an IP counselor, and litigator, and provides trusted guidance on trademarks, copyrights, marketing, advertising and publicity rights. She litigates in federal courts throughout the country, and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the National Advertising Division, and the Copyright Claims Board. Jackie manages international trademark portfolios and oversees international trademark disputes.
