Banta is a registered patent attorney who concentrates her practice in the areas of intellectual property litigation, dispute negotiations, United States and foreign trademark prosecution, and intellectual property licensing. She has represented clients in all intellectual property dispute categories, including patent, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, trade name, domain name, cybersquatting, noncompete, takedown, and copyright actions.

The Litigation Counsel of America is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society. Membership is limited to less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellows are selected and invited into Fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation.
